Galaxy interactions in cosmic voids

Galaxies are known to evolve through a mixture of intrinsic processes, such as gas accretion, conversion into stars, and chemical enrichment, as well as through interactions with neighbor galaxies and surrounding structures. The observed distribution of their astrophysical properties (e.g. stellar mass, metallicity, star formation activity, stellar population, luminosity, and color) is set by a more or less complex combination of local and global processes, but their relative importance is still a matter of debate. In this talk, we are interested in disentangling the relative weights of galaxy interactions and the surrounding large scale environment on galaxy properties, and specially, the role of global underdense regions: Cosmic voids. We explore the dependencies of galaxy colors, star formation activity, concentration index, age of the stellar population of paired and non-interacting galaxies in their relative position with respect to their closest void.
