MOTIVATION

The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts in galaxy evolution and large-scale structure to explore the intricate connections between galaxy properties and their environmental contexts and how these relationships serve as tracers of the underlying matter distribution. While cosmological tests have reached remarkable precision in parameter determination, a significant challenge remains in understanding how luminous matter outlines large-scale structures. Galaxy biases, intrinsic alignments, and other astrophysical properties, when considered alongside cosmological probes, may be seen as systemic noise.

Nevertheless, their statistical analysis and correlation with LSS can offer profound insights into the formation and evolution of galaxies and their role in mapping the universe’s matter distribution.
