Active Galactic Nuclei in Galaxy Pairs: Insights from PAUS Data Analysis
Fernanda Duplancic
We present preliminary results on the study of AGNs in galaxy pairs selected using PAUS data.
We built suitable control samples of paired non-AGN galaxies and isolated non-AGN/AGN galaxies to study the influence of interactions on AGN properties. Additionally, we conducted a visual inspection of images to identify merging systems, aiming to link the degree of interaction with key galaxy properties. Initial findings suggest an evolutionary pathway for galaxy pairs hosting AGNs.
